Tips to write a good Literature Review:
1. Choose
your sources wisely: you may use articles, books or other sources,
which are related to your topic. It is essential to choose current
studies, not those belonging to ice age!
2. Manage your sources:
the number of sources for literature review can be a real problem,
unless you manage them correctly. One of the possible ways is arranging
your sources into tables with citation and brief information about each
source.
3. Use Evidence: in any part of a research paper, you should validate your information by offering various sources.
4.
Use your own words: although it is not easy to rewrite other people’s
thoughts and ideas, avoiding unnecessary quotations not only improves
the overall quality of your work, but also saves you from plagiarism
tests!
5. Express your ideas: don’t forget that the whole purpose
of doing literature review is not simply expressing what other people
have done or not. In the whole research you should be the center of
focus by expressing your own ideas and words about each of the sources.
6. Don’t change: be ware of not changing sources information and findings either unexpectedly or expectedly!
7.
Revise, edit, and revise: the key is reading again and again. You can
ask other people to read your writing as well. Sometimes you are so
involved that can’t see the deficiencies.
